Help

Move text, links, photos and files between your phone and computer in your browser. No signup is needed. Choose direct transfer when both devices are online, or explicitly choose temporary cloud storage for collection later.

How to send

Bring a photo, downloaded document or short note from your phone to your desktop without emailing it to yourself.

  1. On your phone, open DeviceTo, choose Send and select text or files.
  2. For direct mode, open Receive on the computer and enter the displayed code. Check the verification code on both devices before approving.
  3. Keep the phone awake until complete, then copy the text or download the file on the computer. For temporary cloud mode, use the complete private link.

How to receive

Take a document, address or reading link with you. The receiving phone needs only a compatible browser, not the same operating system.

  1. On the computer, choose Send and add your text or selected files.
  2. On the phone, open Receive and use the direct code, or open the complete temporary-cloud link.
  3. Approve only the expected device. Keep both pages active for direct transfer, then save or copy the received content on the phone.

Troubleshooting

On a phone, keep this page active until the direct transfer or upload finishes. Locking the screen or switching apps can interrupt it. Both pages must stay online for a direct WebRTC transfer. Some networks block the connection; a shared Wi-Fi network is not a guarantee.

Temporary cloud

Temporary cloud mode uploads encrypted content to Cloudflare R2. Use the complete private link on the receiving device before expiry. This choice uploads encrypted content to temporary cloud storage. Anyone with the complete link and key can receive it. Expiry blocks new access; storage cleanup may take longer. Default availability: 1 hour(s). Check the actual expiry shown for your transfer.

My devices

Remembering a device is optional. This browser stores a random device ID and secret; the server keeps your chosen name, a hashed credential and pairing relationships. Server access expires after 30 days of inactivity. Forgetting this device revokes its access; the local secret remains until removed or browser data is cleared.

Nearby devices

Nearby discovery is opt-in and shows your chosen name and random device ID to participating devices sharing a public IP address. Presence lasts 45 seconds and is refreshed while the view stays open; rooms last 1 hour. A shared public address can include strangers. No files, text or clipboard content are shared without an approved transfer.

Questions and answers

Where will my phone photos appear?

They arrive as downloadable files. Your browser decides the save location; they are not automatically added to a photo library.

Can I leave before my phone connects?

Only after a temporary-cloud upload has completed. Direct mode needs the sending tab online until delivery finishes.

Why does the clipboard button not work?

Browsers may require HTTPS, a recent click or permission. Manual selection and the system copy/paste controls remain the fallback.

Will my whole folder structure be restored?

Folder behavior varies by browser and download method. A ZIP is the simplest way to keep names and nested folders together.

Does the receiver get access to the linked page?

Only the URL is transferred. The destination website may still require its own login or sharing permission.
